Kell Brook receives huge fight purse after stopping bitter rival Amir Khan

Kell Brook secured a blockbuster victory over bitter rival Amir Khan in Manchester on Saturday evening as the pair finally laid their rivalry to rest.

The 2004 Olympian, a former unified light-welterweight world champion, took on the former IBF welterweight champ at the AO Arena following months of verbal abuse between the two.

Although it was Brook who won in the style he would've dreamed of, both men took home huge paydays as they approach the end of their successful careers.

Daily Star Sport have outlined just how much each took home on the night, and it could even tempt them into a possible rematch down the line.

With Khan bragging about earning the 'lion's share' of the pay packet before the bout, The Sun report that the 35-year-old takes home a mammoth £5million.

Despite Brook earning less, he still takes home a respectable £3m, which is likely one of the biggest paydays of his career despite there being no belts on the line.

With the fight on pay-per-view at a price of £19.99, the interest was obvious with tickets for the even selling out in under an hour earlier in the year.

Before the bout, Brook had been taunted over his weight by Khan, and even claimed that he would be fined a huge £100,000 for each pound he had come in overweight.

He said: "If I go a pound over, it costs me £100,000. Every pound is £100,000 so I cannot afford to do it.

"It makes it interesting and exciting but I am preparing for him now and waiting for this to get confirmed has put me in a bad way before."
