Judge who had Joshua winning Usyk bout says ‘I can’t’ in mystery response to fan

Boxing judge Glenn Feltman, who had Anthony Joshua beating Oleksandr Usyk, was confronted by a fan after the bout.

Joshua lost to the Ukrainian in Saudi Arabia as Usyk retained his belts via split decision. Boxing fans were shocked that one of the judges, Feltman, had AJ down as winning the bout 115-113 – including winning the bout 5-1 after six rounds.

Feltman is asked: "How did you score that fight for Anthony Joshua, Glenn?" Feltman responded: "Just the way I did," and after the fan asked him to elaborate, he added "I can't… you'd have to talk to my…"

Even Eddie Hearn admitted Joshua lost by two rounds when speaking after the bout: "Buncey [Steve Bunce] had Joshua up, a few people had Joshua up.

"I felt he lost by two rounds but when it's 115-113, it's the swing of one or two rounds and you can see it the other way. I had AJ level or maybe up at the end of the ninth but Usyk winning the last three rounds. I thought he was incredible and it was one of the great performances.

"The ninth, Usyk was all over the place. He was hurt badly. He looked like he could be done. What he did in the 10th was unbelievable and that's why he was pound-for-pound No 1."

Despite being handed the third loss of his career, Joshua is keen to return to the sport in the near future.

Joshua is targeting a return in December, and he said via Reuters: "I spoke to Eddie and asked him if it's possible to get out in November because momentum is important in boxing. Eddie said December."
