Jake Paul will ‘immediately retire from boxing’ if Dana White meets UFC demands

Jake Paul has said he will "immediately retire from boxing" if Dana White meets his list of UFC demands.

Paul and White have recently traded insults on social media, with the UFC chief clapping back at Paul's cocaine allegations by challenging him to get tested for steroids.

The YouTuber turned boxer has also gone back and forth with UFC welterweight fighter Jorge Masvidal in recent days as fans clamour for the pair to meet in the ring or Octagon in 2022.

That could now happen after Paul set out a list of three demands for White to meet if he is to retire from boxing and agree a fight with Masvidal.

Writing on Twitter, Paul said: “Happy new year Dana White. Here is a real challenge for you…

“I will immediately retire from boxing and fight Jorge Masvidal in the UFC if you agree to.”

Paul also attached a screenshot of his three demands for White and a message for all UFC fighters which read: “1) Increase min fighter pay per fight to $50k (it’s $12k now).

“2) Guarantee UFC fighters 50% of UFC revenues ($1bn in 2021).

“3) Provide long term healthcare to all fighters (you previously said brain damage is part of the gig… Imagine the NFL said that). There are many UFC alums who have publicly said they are suffering from brain damage.

“You have 5 days to accept and to implement the above by March 31, 2022. Once implemented I will immediately retire from boxing, enter USADA and agree to a 1 fight deal with UFC to fight weak chin Jorge.

“To all UFC fighters – time to take a stand and create value for yourselves and peers. You deserve higher pay, you deserve long term healthcare and above all you deserve freedom.

"Support each other. I am not your enemy, I am your advocate… who selfishly wants to KO a few of you to make some big bank.”

Paul has so far fought two former UFC fighters, knocking out Ben Askren before twice beating Tyron Woodley, with the second win coming via knockout in December.

However, he has yet to face a fellow boxer in the ring during his five professional bouts after Tommy Fury was forced to withdraw from their scheduled bout.
