Jake Paul told terms and conditions that must be met for Conor McGregor fight

Jake Paul has been told the terms and conditions that he needs to follow in order to set up a fight with UFC legend Conor McGregor.

Paul made the move into professional boxing two years ago, and has defeated two mixed martial artists in ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley and Bellator champion Ben Askren.

He has however always had his eye on a boxing bout with one of MMA’s greatest in McGregor, previously commenting that it was one of the reasons he began boxing in the first place.

Paul said last week: “I want to fight Conor McGregor. I will fight him in a boxing ring in Ireland.

“That's partially how this boxing journey started, I made up my mind that I was going to get a fight McGregor and win it."

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has however now been told just how he will get the chance to fight the Irishman, and it seems he will have to get past McGregor’s team first.

Following Paul’s recent comments, Cian Cowley – a teammate of the Notorious One – said on Instagram: “[He] Has to try beat one of us first before he gets a shot at the king.”

McGregor has taken to the professional boxing ring just once in his career, as he took on legendary fighter Floyd Mayweather who came out of retirement to defeat the Irishman with a 10th round technical knockout.

A return to the boxing ring against Paul though will no doubt be low on the list of McGregor’s priorities at the moment, with the Notorious One expected to make a return to UFC in 2022.

The Irishman hasn’t fought in the Octagon since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirer last summer.

However, UFC boss Dana White gave some promising news to fight fans last month after revealing that McGregor could well fight later this year.

When asked by TMZ if the Irishman could return in 2022, White said: “I think so, yeah.

“He's doing all the right things with his leg. I'm hoping he can come back this summer."
