Jake Paul reveals three-fight plan including Nate Diaz and KSI

Jake Paul reveals three-fight plan for 2023 after his Saudi Arabia showdown with Tommy Fury including a two-fight boxing and MMA deal with Nate Diaz and a December date with fellow YouTube star, KSI

  • The Problem Child is hoping for a fight against fellow YouTuber KSI in December

YouTube star Jake Paul is already lining up his calendar for 2023, as he eyes a three-fight plan including clashes with former MMA star Nate Diaz and fellow YouTuber KSI.

Paul is finally set to take on Tommy Fury in a much-anticipated showdown in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, in what is the third time the pair have been scheduled to fight.

Fury has twice withdrawn from bouts against Paul, first in December 2021 due to illness and injury, and then in August last year when their Madison Square Garden clash was axed with Fury unable to gain entry to the United States.

Now it seems both fighters will put their unbeaten records in the ring to the test and see who can gain the bragging rights after years of mocking each other.

‘The Problem Child’ is, however, already looking past his fight against Fury with two more potential fights coming up this year.

The YouTube star told BT Sport: ‘We’ve got a big, big year ahead. There’s a massive offer out to Nate Diaz and his team to do one boxing match and one MMA match.

‘And then, you know the kid KSI, keeps on talking and he says that December, he wants to fight.

‘I’m ready whenever, November, September, December, I don’t care. Whenever he wants to die, I’m cool with it.

‘Whenever he wants to give me so much money, I’m cool with it. It’s going to be a bank robbery.

‘So hopefully that’s my year, is one, two, three, finish up with KSI. But a lot of these guys are talk, man. So who knows?’

It has previously been muted that a two-fight deal that will see the American take on Nate Diaz both in boxing and MMA is on the cards and it seems Paul is still confident of such a deal.

Paul signed a multi-fight, multi-year deal with the Professional Fighters League in January, with the 26-year-old immediately namechecking Diaz as a potential opponent ahead of a move into mixed martial arts.

Former UFC star Diaz, 37, is free to negotiate with Paul, after his contract with the UFC came to an end late last year. The plan is to fight first in the boxing ring, before switching to the octagon around six months later.

The 26-year-old is also said to be in talks with KSI over a fight later this year, with it expected to take place in December.

KSI has had three comeback fights after beating Jake’s brother Logan in their 2019 rematch after drawing in the ring a year prior to that.

There has been talks of a winner takes all fight between Logan Paul and KSI, but instead it looks as though Jake could be the one taking to the ring instead – at least for now.
