Jake Paul breaks silence on "illegal clause" claim during Tyron Woodley fight
Jake Paul has denied claims that he inserted a no-knockout clause into Tyron Woodley's contract for their boxing match earlier this year – because doing so would be "highly illegal".
Paul got the better of Woodley when they locked horns back in August, securing a points victory over the former UFC Welterweight champion after eight intriguing rounds.
But after securing his fourth professional win, the YouTuber turned boxer was accused of inserting a clause into Woodley's contract which prevented him from knocking him out in the fight.
Conor McGregor's sparring partner Dillon Danis said on the MMA Hour: "Tyron Woodley, from what I heard, had it in the contract that he was not allowed to knock out Jake Paul.
"I swear on anything, when he was against the ropes, I swear, that’s why when Jake Paul was against the ropes, Tyron Woodley didn’t hit him.
"I’m telling you right now. It was in his contract where it said you’re not allowed to knock him out."
However, Paul has rubbished the idea of a no-knockout clause and pointed out that including one could have landed him in jail.

When asked about the rumours, the 24-year-old told reporters: "Look, it’s a bunch of losers trying to make s*** up to get in the headlines.
"And to get reporters like yourself to ask about that exact question and put their name into the mix so they can get a little bit of clout.
"Having a 'no knockout clause' in a contract – I've never heard of that.
"It's highly illegal, I would be in jail. That's like rigging a fight. I would be in prison if that was a real thing.
"It's all nonsense, it's all bulls*** and they got exactly what they wanted out of it, which was for people to mention their name."

Paul is gearing up for the fifth outing of his newfound professional boxing career, which comes against Tommy Fury on December 18.
Fury, the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson, has been warned by his older sibling that he will not be worthy of the family name if he comes unstuck against a four-fight novice.
