Inside strongman Eddie Hall’s underground home gym that keeps him ripped

Eddie Hall is getting into shape for his heavyweight boxing clash against Hafthor Bjornsson with an incredible underground gym in his mansion.

The former World’s Strongest Man champion has been hitting the gym hard, with seven months to go until the “Heaviest Boxing Match in History” against the Game of Thrones star.

The 33-year-old, who lost his World’s Strongest Man title to the Icelandic bodybuilder three years ago, has been taking it seriously with a 36kg weight loss.

And Hall has now given fans a sneak peak into his personal gym that is keeping the bodybuilder in top form.

The debut boxer bought his Stoke-based mansion last year, sharing a video on his YouTube channel of the house.

Starting work on the property in July, it is still going on as the four-floor home boasts several rooms.

But the place where Hall spends most of his time is the basement, which used to be a lounge and is now his gym.

He said: “I just ripped the basement completely out, threw it away and started from scratch.”

The result is a three-room area which starts off with the gym room, boasting the latest tech in cable machines, squat racks and bench press stands.

It even has racks for dumbbells that are not in use at commercial gyms, with the hand-held weights hitting a maximum at 80kg.

The gym had a connecting room that just houses the 33-year-old’s protein shakes, shoes and vitamins as well as snacks.

And it leads into the cardio room, which Hall describes as a “better set up than any football club in the world”.

It boasts a cryotherapy chamber, reaching sub-zero temperatures to help with recover, as well as an red-light therapy unit which descends from the ceiling.

With a treadmill and rowing machine, Hall also gets his heart pumping while watching videos of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight.

The final room, though, is where Hall is preparing to take on Bjornsson as it is kitted out with all the boxing equipment a fighter needs.

It is dominated by a ring which is just six feet shy of a full-sized boxing zone while personalised punching bags and body kits are scattered across the room.

Having been supplied by fight organisers RDX, Hall even has his specially-made boxing gloves to fit his enormous hands.

And the boxing room has even been made Covid-19 safe for his coach, with a temperature-checker and sanitiser on the wall.

But the gym is not finished yet.

In the garden, Hall is building a spa, which will feature a sauna and cooling room to accompany the hot-tub already there.

The Brit has also kept himself busy with trash talk against Bjornsson, calling his boxing debut last month the “biggest load of s***”.
