Birthday boy Tyson Fury shared an adorable birthday card he received from daughter Athena on Instagram earlier today.
The card read, “To Daddy. Happy Birthday. I love you with all my heart. Athena.”
Alongside the heart-warming message from Fury’s 4-day old daughter, there were two sets of her footprints in pink and yellow paint on the card.
Athena, who was born on Sunday at Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, was moved into intensive care almost immediately after her birth.
While her condition was said to have stabilised on Monday, she was sadly readmitted to the ICU a day later and has remained there since.
Fury has shared regular updates with his 4.4m Instagram followers, and yesterday told his fans that Athena was doing well and had a “stable day off the ventilator.”
Since her birth, as a way of thanking the doctors and nurses who have looked after Athena, Fury and his wife Paris set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Alder Hey Family House Trust.
So far, the WBC heavyweight champion has raised a whopping £34,212 for the trust and is well on the way to reaching the £50,000 target.
Athena is Fury and wife Paris' third daughter, after Venezuala, 11, and Valencia, 3.
The couple also have three boys: Prince John James, 8, Prince Tyson II, 4, and Prince Adonis Amaziah, 1.
Fury is set to make his highly-anticipated return to the boxing ring later this year, and will face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout on October 9 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
While the fight was originally slated for July 24, the Gypsy King tested positive for COVID-19 on July 8 and was forced out of the bout.
The clash will now take place nearly 20 months since their previous fight, which saw Fury knock out Wilder in just seven rounds.
