Eddie Hearn has claimed that Tyson Fury sent Derek Chisora a fight offer on Wednesday amidst negotiations for his December 3 showdown with Anthony Joshua. The pair exchanged words at ringside this weekend while attending the Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker fight in Manchester and it now appears that an official approach was made by The Gypsy King.

Fury was in talks to face Chisora for December but according to the WBC champion, Del Boy priced himself out of the deal. When they met for the first time since the breakdown in communications there was clearly no love lost as a video uploaded by talkSPORT reveals.

Fury was being interviewed ahead of the evening’s main event, when the conversation was abruptly halted by Chisora, who said: “I’m here in Manchester, I’m here. You said come to Manchester and I’ll fight you bare-knuckle and I’m here.”

Fury replied: “Why didn’t you sign the contract then?” Del Boy fired back: “No, you didn’t send me a contract.”

Before Fury added that he would fight Chisora if his fight with Joshua doesn’t end up getting made. “Listen, if you wanna fight? If your man don’t fight, I will definitely fight you next,” said The Gypsy King.

Now, Hearn has disclosed that Fury did in fact offer Chisora a fight after declaring that the AJ clash is ‘off’. Speaking about the current contractual situation for Fury vs Joshua, Hearn told Behind The Gloves: “I haven’t actually got anything negative to say about ‘oh Queensbury, have done this’ and I don’t think they could either. It’s just Tyson Fury.

“In the meantime, he’s offered fights to Manuel [Mahmoud] Charr, he’s just offered a fight to Derek Chisora yesterday I think, and yet then he rears his head today and says ‘ok, I’ll give you until today’. It ain’t going to get done today.”

Fury briefly came out earlier today to state that he is once again willing to proceed with negotiations for the Joshua fight only to backtrack on those comments a few hours later and declare that he will now face Mahmoud Charr.

According to Frank Warren, a renewed contract was issued to AJ’s camp on Tuesday after Hearn raised concerns about a number of undisclosed points in the original paperwork. It is understood that both promotional outfits are now working together to complete a final draft that appeases all parties involved.
