Tyson Fury has suggested that he would knockout Francis Ngannou ‘in seconds’ if the combat stars were to have a mixed martial arts bout.
The WBC heavyweight champion was speaking ahead of the press conference for his crossover boxing bout with Ngannou – who will make his debut in the sport against the Gypsy King.
With Ngannou’s impressive power, which he’s displayed throughout his career, there are hopes that the Cameroonian can deliver a shock defeat to his counterpart.
However, despite this, Fury remained confident over the fight and even suggested he would ‘beat him for sure’ if the duo were to fight inside a cage.
He told TNT Sports: ‘I’d like to fight Ngannou in the cage, I think I can beat him for sure. He’s not a good wrestler, he’s known for striking and I’m a better striker than him. In little gloves, I’d knock him out in seconds.

The two combat stars will share the boxing ring on October 28th in a bout that is being described as the ‘Battle of the Baddest’.
Fury went on to suggest: ‘I’d fight Jon Jones also in the cage, if the money was right.’
UFC heavyweight champion Jones has been tipped to share the stage with Fury, after the two went head-to-head on social media after comments were made by UFC commentator Joe Rogan.
Fury objected to Rogan’s suggestions that he would have ‘no chance in hell’ against Jones in a street fight and then took to social media to blast Rogan in an expletive-laden rant and insisted that he would win that fight against Jones.
However, in May, Fury took to his Instagram page to clarify his thoughts on the matter.
He wrote: ‘If you guys want to fight me it’s got to be under boxing rules. I don’t roll round the floor, I stand up and punch.’
It seems that Fury has since U-turned on that stance and would welcome a fight with the UFC champion inside the cage.
