Floyd Mayweather’s next exhibition bout confirmed including date and opponent
Floyd Mayweather has confirmed he will return to the ring for a third exhibition bout in September against Japanese MMA star Mikuru Asakura.
Mayweather, 45, officially retired from professional boxing in 2017 following a mega-money fight against UFC icon Conor McGregor, boosting his record to 50-0 with a 10th-round knockout, and the pair could be set for a £130million rematch.
Since hanging up his gloves, Money has returned for a series of exhibition bouts with YouTube ace Logan Paul enduring eight three-minute rounds at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida last summer. And after breezing past former sparring partner Don Moore in May, Mayweather has confirmed he will once again return to the ring.

The American legend will be back in action on September 25 against MMA star Mikuru Asakura with the fight scheduled to take place at the Saitama Super Arena, where he defeated kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa with a blitzing first-round stoppage.
The fight rules and regulations are still yet to be announced but it's expected the bout will follow similar formats to Mayweather's previous exhibition showdowns and will be contested over eight rounds.
