Fans praise Jake Paul for classy comments to Tyron Woodley in post-KO interview

Fans took to social media to praise Jake Paul for his classy comments about Tyron Woodley after his knockout win last night.

Paul stopped Woodley with a sensational one-punch knockout in the sixth round of their rematch in Tampa, Florida.

It was the second time the two men have met after the YouTuber defeated the former UFC champion via decision back in August, and this fight looked to suffer the same fate after a drab opening five rounds.

However, Paul landed a monster knockout punch with a stunning right hand that sent Woodley to the canvas, with the 39-year-old lying out cold face down.

The referee immediately waved the fight off with medics coming to Woodley’s aid as Paul celebrated.

“This is as real as it f***ing gets, just like my right hand,” said Paul. “I told you I was going to f*** him up and I f***ed him up.

“This guy is a legend, don't take anything away from his career as a UFC champion and respect him for taking the fight on two weeks' notice.

“He's a warrior, that was a tough fight right there, he's a legend.”

Fans took to Twitter to post their appreciation for Paul’s respect towards Woodley after claiming the sensational win.

Hodl Your Mind (@HodlYourMind) tweeted: “Ngl I appreciate Jake Paul still showing respect to Tyron Woodley and how Tyron took the loss, still dazed but it was nice to see mutual respect after the match!”

Other fans speculated whether he showed respect after Woodley graciously accepted a Rolex watch from Paul as a gift for taking the fight at short notice.

Paul and Woodley met for the second time in four months after Tommy Fury was forced to pull out of the fight with the Brit being the original opponent.

However, Fury – younger brother of WBC champion Tyson – pulled out due to a severe chest infection and a broken rib, announcing the news by commenting that he was ‘heartbroken’ and hopes to fight Paul in 2022.

Instead, Woodley accepted the fight at two weeks’ notice and insisted he would be more aggressive as Paul offered the former UFC star a $500k bonus if he could knock the 24-year-old out.

Woodley was noticeably more active in the first round but he soon faded, and rematch was there for the taking with nine minutes remaining until Paul – whose ring-walk attire was reportedly worth $1.2million – knocked him out.
