'F*** that s***!': Anthony Joshua snaps at Vasyl Lomachenko

‘F*** that s***!’: New footage shows Anthony Joshua snapping at Vasyl Lomachenko as the Ukrainian offers him kind words after his gruelling Oleksandr Usyk defeat on split decision

  • Joshua suffered a split decision loss to Usyk in their rematch in Saudi Arabia
  • New footage shows Joshua visibly angry as he verbally lashes at people close by

Anthony Joshua’s emotions got the better of him after a gruelling loss to Oleksandr Usyk in their unified heavyweight title rematch in Saudi Arabia.

The Brit grabbed the mic after the split decision victory was awarded to Usyk and went on a lengthy tirade that flipped between addressing his haters and congratulating the Ukrainian.

Joshua exited through two title belts outside of the ring, exited the ring and confronted fans in the arena before returning to the ring once again.

Usyk’s fellow Ukrainian and former world champion Vasyl Lomachenko tried to console Joshua

But the Brit did not want to hear it and replied angrily, saying ‘f*** that s***’ twice in response

In amongst all of that, former unified lightweight world champion and Usyk compatriot Vasyl Lomachenko offered some consoling words for AJ, but the 32-year-old did not want to hear it.

Lomachenko told the former two-time heavyweight champion that he ‘showed good heart,’ in his defeat to Usyk, but that seemed to offend the Watford-born star.

Joshua said: ‘F*** that s***. Good boxing has to win. F*** that s***.’

AJ can also be seen in the new footage losing his temper with the sheer amount of bodies around him and as he exits the ring, he rejects a handshake telling his father ‘get off me.’

It was a tough night for the 2012 Olympic gold medallist. After training hard for 11 months, Joshua came up short against one of the great fighters of his era.

Joshua’s post-fight speech ranged from praise for Usyk to demanding respect from the fans

Falling twice to Usyk clearly hurt AJ, and understandably so. After watching Joshua shed tears in the post fight press-conference, his promoter Eddie Hearn asked for some understanding from boxing fans.

He said: ‘The reaction from AJ – he’s a human, so much pressure. He exploded, he was devastated. He’s a competitor and a man. He’s [Usyk] the pound-for-pound No1. They asked me, I thought it was close.

‘I thought 115-113. I had it very close. Maybe AJ one round up after the ninth. A great performance from Anthony Joshua.

‘They’re both tremendous fighters. [Tyson] Fury is a clever man, he could’ve fought Usyk, he chose not to.

‘AJ was desperate to win the fight. He lost a split decision to the pound-for-pound No1. He needs to go back, rebuild, get the frustration out, but also be happy.’
