Eddie Hearn claims Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have rescheduled fight date
Eddie Hearn has claimed that Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have rescheduled their long-awaited boxing fight.
The pair had been set to meet in the ring back in December before Fury was forced to withdraw less than a month before the bout due to a combination of both illness and injury. In his absence, YouTuber turned boxer Paul faced former UFC champion Tyron Woodley for a second time, defeating him via sixth round knockout.
According to Hearn, the pair are now set to finally settle their feud inside the ring with a fight said to pencilled in for August this year.
Speaking to talkSPORT, via the Daily Mail, Hearn revealed: “I don't represent them, but I hear that fight [Paul vs Fury] is happening August 13, so you might see it. Both are very limited, but as long as it's a competitive fight, it doesn't really matter.”
Although he does not act as promoter for either of the young fighters, Hearn has worked with Paul in the past and went on to add: “Jake Paul is a strange one, but I like what he's doing for boxing.
“I did Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor with him and it was great fun, it was a big success. He's putting the work in and he's not terrible. But it'll be a pleasant day when someone chins him.”

Having been forced out of his scheduled fight with Paul, Fury returned to the ring in April on the undercard of older brother Tyson's world title defence against Dillian Whyte.
He took his professional record to 8-0 with a points victory over Polish fighter Daniel Bocianski at Wembley Stadium.
As for Paul, his win over Woodley took his professional record to 5-0 and continued his record of knocking out every opponent he has faced.
However, he has yet to fight another boxer, with a potential match-up with Fury presenting the first opportunity for him to test his skills against another professional fighter.
