Eddie Hall calls Hafthor Bjornsson’s boxing debut ‘biggest load of s***’
Eddie Hall has lashed out at bitter rival Hafthor Bjornsson once again and branded his boxing debut the “biggest load of s***” to ever happen in the sport.
Bjornsson, best known for playing The Mountain in award-winning series Game of Thrones, climbed through the ropes for the very first time last month for an exhibition bout against Irish cruiserweight Steven Ward.
Despite dropping Ward to the canvas early on, the Icelandic strongman was denied victory on his boxing bow as the contest was deemed a draw.
And he will now turn his attention to another exhibition against arch-nemesis Hall later this year.
The pair are set to go head-to-head in a fight being dubbed “The Heaviest Boxing Match in History” in September of this year, with both weighing over 350lbs.
However, Hall was not impressed by what he saw from Bjornsson on his debut last month, insisting his upcoming opponent “didn’t land a single punch” on Ward in Dubai.
The 2017 World’s Strongest Man said on his YouTube channel: “Do you want the God's honest truth? He didn't land a single punch in three rounds.
“Anyone with any boxing tenacity about them, will know that was the biggest load of s*** that has probably ever happened in boxing.
“That Steve Ward evidently laid off.”

Bjornsson weighed almost nine stone more than Ward when they met in January, meaning the latter admitted it felt like his heavy opponent “hit like a horse” during their exhibition.
But Hall is not convinced by the Game of Thrones hero and believes the warm-up fight has shifted momentum in his favour.
“No one can say he can [box], because he didn't land a punch,” he said.
“I want to say a big thank you to Thor for doing that match and putting it out on the internet.
“It has literally given me the best advantage that I have ever had.”
