Ebanie Bridges’ loyalty to Leeds United could cost her after she shook hands on a bizarre bet with social media influencer and Manchester City fan Elle Brooke.

The Aussie world champion boxer and Brooke agreed one of them would get to punch the other depending on the result of Wednesday’s Premier League fixture at Elland Road.

‘Me and Ebanie Bridges have a bet on tonight,’ Brooke tweeted ahead of City’s visit to Leeds.

‘Winner gets to punch the loser.’

And with the Premier League champions running out comfortable 3-1 winners courtesy of goals from Rodri and an Erling Haaland brace, it is Bridges who will be on the receiving end.

‘Looks like Eb is going to be my human punching bag on fight week,’ Brooke added in a separate tweet just before full-time.

But the Aussie, who recently retained her IBF bantamweight world title against bitter rival Shannon O’Connell, suggested Brooke may not relish her chance.

Brooke announced the bet with Bridges just hours ahead of kick-off on Wednesday

And she then joked she would have a free hit at Bridges by the time City were 3-0 up

‘She hits hard but I reckon she would be scared to hit me,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘But a bet is a bet [so] she gets a free shot.’

A Leeds fan dating back to the days of Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell, Bridges was in attendance at Elland Road on Wednesday night as the Whites made their Premier League return after the World Cup break.

The Blonde Bomber documented her visit on Instagram, where she shared a picture of her with former Socceroos and Leeds defender Tony Dorigo and footage of the game.

Result aside, Bridges said it had been an experience to remember.

‘[Watching Leeds is] Always fun. [Tonight] Was actually my first night game I have ever been to. The crowd was proper rowdy.’

Bridges has made a big impression in the UK since relocating there – winning lots of fans with her disarming sense of humour, aggressive boxing style and racy weigh-in outfits.

The glamorous Aussie captured the IBF Bantamweight World Title in just her ninth professional fight. She is aiming to be the undisputed champion of her division by 2024.
