Ebanie Bridges joked her eyes were bigger than her boobs after taking battering
Ebanie Bridges will be hoping her boobs remain bigger than her eyes when she takes on Miyo Yoshida in her next fight.
The Blonde Bomber faces Yoshida in San Francisco on Saturday, after her original opponent Avril Mathie was forced to pull out of their so-called Battle of the Boobs. While boxing fans were gutted at news of Mathie's withdrawal, they'll be delighted that Bridges has found another opponent as she bids to defender her IBF women's bantamweight title.
Bridges claimed the bantamweight title against Maria Cecilia Roman in Leeds last year, triumphing via unanimous decision. However, her first attempt to win the belt didn't go quite to plan.

The Aussie favourite faced old foe Shannon Courtenay just under 12 months prior with the same reward on the line. On that occasion, Bridges came up short against the English fighter in what remains the only blemish on her professional record.
It was a clash of heads that took its toll on Bridges who, in her own words, was left with an eye that looked bigger than her iconic boobs after clashing heads in the fifth round.

Her left eye ballooned in size, leaving her unable to see properly. But, ever the joker, Bridges made light of the dramatic incident after the fight.
"What a war – blood, guts and heart. Not a pretty face anymore. My eyes are bigger than my boobs," she said. "I love fighting. I enjoy every bit of it. What can I say?"

The awful clash turned Bridges' eyelid a shade of purple, but she remained in good spirits in the days following the fight, adding: "No modelling for a few days."
