Dillian Whyte has reportedly been forced to pull out of his fight with Otto Wallin after suffering a shoulder injury in training.

The Sun report the Body Snatcher is unable to compete having been scheduled to take on Wallin at the O2 on October 30.

The fight was due to headline a stacked card and was set to be Whyte's first fight since beating Alexander Povetkin in March.

The winner was in line to face Tyson Fury in a battle for the WBC world heavyweight title next year.

It is currently unclear whether the card will still go ahead or if the evening of boxing will be canned.

Whyte has suffered two defeats during his career, losing to Anthony Joshua and initially being beaten by Povetkin.

Though he had been excited to return to the ring ahead of his scheduled bout with Wallin.

"I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking at them [future fights]," Whyte said. "I am definitely looking at fighting Fury.

"Wallin is a dangerous operator – he pushed Fury all the way.

"I am looking to fight Fury next if everything goes according to plan.

"I'm always up against it, I'm always in hard fights. I'm used to it.

"I could pull out of the Wallin fight just to fight Fury but that isn't my mindset. I can't wait around for what Fury is doing.

"My mindset is that I've got nothing to lose. I'm not scared to take risks. They see danger in fighting me.

"I will risk it all, if need be."

Wallin’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita, said recently: “Out all the great fighters that Tyson Fury beat the one fighter that gave him most trouble, caused most controversy with the cut, who landed more punches than Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder in their first fights combined is Otto Wallin.

“Otto had two impressive wins since that outing and a win over Whyte would make him the most eligible opponent for Fury and in my mind the second-best heavyweight in the world based on merit.

“Otto is still getting better. The fight with Whyte is a big test and a massive opportunity to get the rematch with the WBC heavyweight champion.”
