Devin Haney vs. Jorge Linares fight date, time, PPV price, odds & location for 2021 boxing match
Devin Haney will defend his WBC lightweight title in his toughest test to date when he faces three-time world champion Jorge Linares on Saturday at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
Haney (25-0, 15 KOs) will be making his third title defense since being elevated from interim to full champion in October 2019, when Vasiliy Lomachenko was promoted to “Franchise” champion. Haney turned back the challenges of Yuriorkis Gamboa and Alfred Santiago with decision victories but is expected to be pushed to the limit against Linares.
Linares (47-5, 29 KOs) has held the WBC featherweight championship and both the WBA and WBC lightweight titles. Once pegged as the future of boxing, the Venezuela native has never quite reached his potential. All of his losses have come by way of knockout, and many of them have been against opponents he was expected to beat, such as Sergio Thompson, Juan Carlos Salgado and Pablo Cesar Cano. He was able to drop Lomachenko in the sixth round of their 2018 bout.
Will Haney pass his test, or will Linares upend the 22-year-old champion with a vintage performance?
