Deontay Wilder would be keen to face Tyson Fury for a fourth time but his manager has warned against it after the American was defeated by the Brit last weekend.
Fury beat Wilder to retain his WBC title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The highly anticipated third bout between the pair lived up to the billing and will go down as one of the great heavyweight fights in modern boxing history.
Fury was in the driving seat early, particularly after he knocked Wilder down in round three.
Wilder – who broke his hand in the loss – impressively struck back in round four as he knocked Fury twice to the canvas, critically striking the Brit when he was struggling to stand.
However, the Gypsy King got to his feet and responded excellently to seize control of the fight in the latter rounds.
His dominance ensured that it was his fight to lose and after Wilder picked himself up from a 10th-round knockdown, Fury delivered the killer blow with a crushing 11th round knockout strike.
The American vowed to bounce back from his defeat in their February 2020 rematch only to suffer the second straight loss of his career.
Wilder is eyeing a return to the ring by May 2022 after suffering a broken hand in the loss, and his co-manager Shelly Finkel believes the ‘big fights’ are the Bronze Bomber’s key motivation.
“My gut is the big fights,” Finkel told SunSport. “It’s not on the drawing board now, but he would love to get Fury back again.
“I don’t think people want to see that right now, some of the other fights have to find their way through and then that can be a possibility.

“Because at the end of the day, aside from the winner from the Usyk and Joshua fight, there aren’t many big fights for Fury either.”
Wilder is at home in Alabama where he is undertaking his six-month medical suspension.
He is also awaiting surgery on the busted right hand.
“He’s doing well, he gives all credit to Fury to perform the way he did,” Finkel added of Wilder. “But early in the fight Deontay, probably around the third round, when he got hit, he got hit by the ear and it threw his equilibrium off.
“And I was watching and I said, ‘What happened to his legs?’ Because he trained so hard.
“He also, somewhere in the middle rounds, broke his right hand behind the third knuckle and he has to have that fixed next week.

“He has to have surgery, the knuckle is OK, it’s the bone behind the knuckle that broke.”
One possibility for Wilder could be to face Anthony Joshua, who was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk in their heavyweight championship clash last month. The Brit will face Usyk in a rematch and Finkel believes a clash with Wilder will happen regardless of the outcome.
He said: “It’s a massive fight, no matter what happens in the Joshua-Usyk fight.
“But again, it’s early and we have to get through Usyk and Joshua and see a couple of other possibilities.
“And I’m not sure that Usyk, even with his great skills, will be able to deal with the size of Fury.”
The WBC have ordered Fury to fight the winner between mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, who meet at the O2 Arena on October 30.
