Deontay Wilder wants Anthony Joshua showdown at Wembley in front of 80,000 fans

Deontay Wilder is said to be willing to fight Anthony Joshua at Wembley.

The never-seen-before clash looks to be on the cards after Wilder knocked out Finn Robert Helenius inside three minutes in his comeback fight on Saturday (October 15). AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn had tried to get the ball rolling last week.

However, Wilder's manager Shelly Finkel wanted to wait until after the Bronze Bomber had made his return to the ring. Now that's out of the way, he's open to discussing the bout, with a packed-out Wembley one of the potential options.

Finkel told The Sun: "We said at the press conference it depends what surfaces this week. Whether it be Oleksandr Usyk, or Hearn reaching out.

"I was asked if they offered the right deal, would we do the fight in the UK? Of course. Financially, it could be Saudi Arabia or another country, but it really comes down to them.

"I believe the fight between Deontay and Joshua will do 80,000 at Wembley."

Finkel believes Wilder is Joshua's only option for a big-money fight having lost twice to Usyk and failing to agree terms for an all-British bout with Tyson Fury.

And with 36-year-old Wilder, who turns 37 this week, warning that he's planning on retiring by the age of 40, the clock is ticking for the pair to finally put pen to paper after not doing so earlier in their careers.

Finkel is therefore targeting Wilder's next fight for springtime to fit in two major bouts next year, with AJ also looking to return in the coming months.
