Deontay Wilder says Tyson Fury will have master plan to cheat in trilogy fight
Deontay Wilder believes rival Tyson Fury is conjuring a master plan to 'cheat' again, echoing the Bronze Bomber’s claims that the Brit cheated in their second bout.
In their first fight, Fury dramatically rose from the brink to pull himself from the canvas and earn a draw with Wilder. In their second bout, the 33-year-old defeated the American thanks to an eighth-round TKO, and that clash in February 2020 was the last time either man officially fought.
Wilder spoke about their fight last October and accused Fury of cheating in their rematch. The American posted a video and statement on social media before continuing to fuel the conspiracy in interviews.
In the video posted to social media, Wilder claimed Fury tampered with his gloves to put his fist in an improper position, harming his fist.
The 35-year-old also believes Fury had a hard object hidden inside his gloves to deal extra damage.
Wilder went on to allege his water was spiked with muscle relaxers before the fight, and even suggested such an act was carried out by his own co-trainer Mark Breland, who threw in the towel to condemn Wilder to the first defeat of his career.
The American accused Breland of disloyalty – labelling him a 'weak individual' – and fired him as a result.

Wilder reiterated his belief that Fury cheated – and thinks the Brit will do so again when they meet for the third time this weekend.
“You think he ain’t gonna try to cheat this time?” Wilder told 78SPORTSTV. “Oh they’re thinking, they’re coming up with a master plan.
“But my thing to him – man, you couldn’t even get me out on loaded gloves and the conditions I was under.

A deal between Fury and British rival Joshua was supposedly close to being struck earlier this year in a highly-anticipated fight to unify the division and crown the undisputed champion of the world as the compatriots held all four heavyweight belts.
However, complications arose when Wilder triggered a clause forcing the American to fight Fury for the third time in their epic saga while Joshua lost to Oleksandr Usyk last month.
Fury defends his WBC title against Wilder in the third instalment of their epic grudge trilogy on October 9.
