Conor Benn ridicules Chris Eubank Jr over ‘sex drive’ as pair clash face-to-face
A puzzled Conor Benn tore into Chris Eubank Jr after the former IBO super middleweight champion started detailing his pre-fight sex-drive routines.
The two rivals clash on the 8th October, continuing a family feud stemming from their respective fathers’, Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Senior, two unforgettable clashes in the early 1990s. Eubank Sr overcame Benn in a brutal encounter in Birmingham, before the two colossuses fought out a breathtaking draw in their second encounter at Old Trafford.
A third bout between the two rivals proved to be too elusive, but the upcoming encounter between sons may well be the next best thing. And Eubank Jr demonstrated his more eccentric side when he deciphered his usual bedroom routines – or lack of – before an upcoming fight.

"Usually I go eight weeks without sex,” Eubank Jr said to Benn during ‘The Face Off’ as part of DAZN Bozing’s coverage. “I abstain for eight weeks.” A simultaneously baffled and irritated Benn quickly hit back, "How has it come to this? What are you talking about?"
"I'm going to abstain for two weeks for you,” Eubank Jr mischievously replied, while staring into Benn. "Canelo [Alvarez], [Gennady] Golovkin, they get eight weeks. [Billy Joe] Saunders gets four weeks. Conor Benn gets two,” Eubank Jr continued.
Eubank Jr’s focus may well be on Benn, but the Brit still carved himself a smidgen of time to call out ex-YouTuber Jake Paul. "Jake Paul will get one wee,” he added. “So you're [Benn] not at the bottom of the barrel, but you're close."

By this point, Benn had become even more bemused, quickly telling his rival "You don't half talk some s*** don't ya?" Former middleweight world champion Carl Froch has also previously claimed to impose a sex ban on himself in the build up towards fights.
Boxing legend claims a fighter will be able to punch harder if they refrain from bedroom activities for a significant period of time. Floyd Mayweather is another boxing icon who swears by pre-fight sex bans, even if it means a lack of action behind closed doors.
However, this legend is also regularly disputed by those who believe it is just a mere myth. Eubank Jr’s performance against Benn could prove to be a useful barometer for this myth’s grounding in reality.
