Chris Eubank Jr once again conveniently calls out fighter with a bout lined up
Chris Eubank Jr always seems to time his call outs when other fighters have big bouts lined up. Quite convenient that isn't it?
Last week, the son of the former two-weight world champion took it upon himself to say he fancied a 'warm-up' against Liam Williams.
It is a fight we would take in a heartbeat, make no mistake about it.
But Eubank Jnr says this just as the WBO confirmed Williams is heading for purse bids for a world middleweight title shot against Demetrius Andrade.
He has a habit of doing this as it is not the first time.
Our focus is getting Williams a big world title shot so the aim is those purse bids.
We have wanted the Andrade fight for some time so we are not going to walk away from that now.
But if something was to go wrong and that doesn't happen then we are all up for an all-British clash with Eubank Jnr.
It would be a great fight but Williams would show his class against Eubank Jnr.
And it would also be great for his profile.
I just hope Eubank Jnr would be easier to deal with now he has signed with Sauerland Promotion.
There have been so many headaches dealing with the Brighton boxer and his dad that I can't care to remember.
But if he is serious about facing Williams then he should tell his promoter to get in touch.
As I say the main focus is on Andrade though and we await to see what happens.
I have full faith in the Welshman becoming world champion and showing everyone how good he is at middleweight.
Then we might take Eubank Jnr on and give him his chance rather than the other way he thinks it would play out.
