Boxing fans spot Tyson Fury black eye as he steps up Anthony Joshua sparring
Tyson Fury appears to have picked up a black eye in sparring ahead of his undisputed showdown with Anthony Joshua this summer.
The Gypsy King is still waiting for confirmation that his heavyweight humdinger with AJ is going ahead as planned, having agreed a two-fight deal back in March.
The date and location of their first contest is yet to be finalised, but reports suggest Saudi Arabia is leading the race to stage it either at the end of July or the start of August.
Ahead of the bout, Fury has been ramping up his training out in Las Vegas with head coach SugarHill Steward.
He then moved his camp to Texas to support good friend Billy Joe Saunders in his mega-fight with Canelo Alvarez this weekend.
Saunders came unstuck against Canelo in Texas, with a brutal eye injury forcing trainer Mark Tibbs to pull him out after eight rounds as Fury watched on from ringside.
Before the fight, the WBC heavyweight champion was captured by DAZN cameras and appeared to be sporting a black eye.
Fans were quick to point out the shiner on social media, with one writing: "No one seems to be talking about Tyson Fury's bruised eye…"
Another said: "Tyson fury looks as if he's been punched a cracker he's got a right good bruised eye."

Despite the minor injury likely to have been sustained in sparring, Fury remains fully confident of wiping Joshua out with ease when they collide in the summer.
He even told his rival's promoter face to face how easy he expects the win to be, saying on Eddie Hearn's No Passion No Point podcast: "I will cut Anthony Joshua down like a hot knife through cheese. That's how easy it's going to be. That's how easy it's going to be.
"When he gets cracked with all them muscles right in the jaw, it's like getting a boiled egg with a split down the middle, it can't be repaired.
"He will go. I'll even tell you what punch it's going to be, I'll even give my game plan away; it will be a check left hook straight to the temple.
"His legs will go and he'll fall on his face. He may get back up and I'll knock him out with the overhand right. Goodnight. Enough said."
