Boxing and UFC’s sexy ring girls you’ve never heard of – Insta babe to Zoo model

Offbeat news from the world of sport

As well as the fight on offer, ring girls are another pulse-racing entity at a UFC or boxing event.

They are the masters of making the affair a spectacle, from the weigh-ins to the fancy walks in between rounds. But despite being one of the biggest attractions on screen, they seldom are known outside of the ring. Unless they go onto other things, such as IBF bantamweight world champion Ebanie Bridges and Love Island star Maura Higgins, their fame can be restricted to that of the boxing event.

As such, we thought we would take a look at some of the most stunning ring girls across both boxing and the MMA, and give them something of a shout-out. With that in mind, here are six ring girls who have dominated their industry but that you might not have heard of.

Carly Baker

Carly Baker is a prominent worker for the UFC who has some 242k followers on Instagram.

The Brit, who almost won Ring Girl of the Year in 2014, was dating cricketer Tom Maynard before he tragically died on June 18, 2012.

Baker's achievements include being the first-ever European ring girl for the UFC and being daring enough to pose for Zoo magazine almost ten years ago.

Kayla Fitz

Do you think we will see more ring girls grow in fame? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kayla Fitz is another ring girl who enjoys the limelight and showing herself off to 515k followers on Instagram.

The stunning brunette, who has worked with the likes of Dan Bilzerian, was famously fired from being a ring girl for the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin in 2018.

Fitz reportedly took part in an advert for beer that the fight organisers thought was too risque.

She wrote on Instagram: "Last year, me and @dessiemitcheson created these videos with @chrisapplebaum because the #caneloggg fight was happening, we were the ring girls, and we thought it would be a fun idea for social media! Little did we know, it would result in us being fired!!!!"

Kyra Keli

Kyra Keli broke through by being one of the ring girls for the Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather fight in 2017.

The New Yorker says on her Instagram page that, despite her saucy pics, she is actually a ' Theatre Dork'.

Before Mayweather's win over The Notorious, she expressed her passion for being a ring girl: "I can't tell you how happy, and grateful I am for the opportunity to be in vegas working what is called the most historical event in combat sports history… the best part of all this is the support I'm getting from everyone.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the congratulations and well wishes."

Antonia Salt

Antonia Salt was one of the ring girls during Tyson Fury's defeat of Dillian Whyte earlier this month.. “I’ve been a ring girl for years now, and working with the Queensberry team for nearly eight months" she told the Daily Star. "So to be ring girling the Fury vs Whyte fight is an indescribable feeling.

"This is what every ring girl dreams of, and every ring girl works towards. We are beyond lucky and grateful. It’s going to be a night to remember for sure.”

Salt even almost called the fight – bar a few rounds off: “I’m predicting a knockout from Tyson in the ninth. And he definitely won’t leave us without a show, I’m sure that’s something we can all predict!”

Kiara Gomez

Kiara Gomez was voted as the hottest ring girl by a fan page last month. The US model was notable for her appearances at some of Gomez Corona’s top boxing events in America.

However, Gomez is now with Matchroom Girls and a model for Monster Energy, doing work for the likes of Formula 1.

Kayleigh Debono

Kayleigh Debono is another ring girl who featured in the Tyson-Whyte fight. "It’s the most excitement I’ve felt building up to an event in the six years I've been ring girling," Kayleigh said to us.

The model was plucked up after being scouted by SBJ Management – and now the sky's the limit for the professional poser.

She added: "I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity SBJ Management and Frank Warren Promotions have provided us with, history is going to be made on 23. Being selected for this fight night is a really proud moment that myself and the girls will take with us forever."

Kayleigh, however, was a tad wide of the mark with her prediction on this occasion. "I think Dillian might give Tyson a bigger challenge than most expect, but I'll still say late stoppage to Tyson on points."
