Amir Khan frustrated at lack of drug testing ahead of Kell Brook grudge fight
Amir Khan has expressed frustration at the lack of drug testing for his fight with Kell Brook next month.
The former world champions are set to square off at the Manchester Arena on February 19, but Khan says that he has yet to be visited by anybody to drug test him.
Bolton-native Khan is training in Colorado with world champion Terrence Crawford's coach Brian McIntyre ahead of the grudge fight.
He and Brook will take part in one of the first boxing events back in the UK after the British Boxing Board of Control's shutdown of the sport in January, and he has pushed to have testing done properly for the fight.
"I just sent a message to my wife the other day," Khan told iFL TV from his American training camp.
"I also copied my lawyer into it and it said 'Can you please push whoever, Sky or Boxxer, Mr Shalom, Ben Shalom, saying the testing needs to be done'.
"I mean, I'm sat here, there's no testing being done, why? I'm waiting to be tested. I'm the one who had to push that.
"I said, 'Look, why's the tests not been done?' It's a bit strange."
Khan has previously worked with VADA or USADA for drug testing ahead of his bouts, but is unsure what the process should be for his match-up with Brook.
He has said that sports lawyer Geoff Cunningham has guaranteed they will be tested for the bout, which is just over a month away.
"Testing normally gets done when I normally work with VADA, or USADA it normally gets done like straight away," Khan continued.
"At a press conference they could turn up. But for some reason, I've been in camp for four weeks and there's no testing which has been done, which I find quite weird.
"Geoff Cunningham said to me, look it's in there, but I've not been tested yet and it's coming up to like my fifth week of training.

"I'm like, 'What's going on?' We want to be tested, I want to be tested because it gives me that peace of mind knowing that it's a fair fight."
Khan and Brook have been rivals for a number of years, but have eluded each other until now, with their feud finally set to be settled.
Brook is the bookies' favourite at 4/7, given he has competed recently against pound-for-pound great Terrence Crawford, while Khan has been out almost three years.
It is expected that the loser will retire, although the fight could ultimately see both men hang up the gloves after making massive money for the event.
Tickets sold out in minutes despite many believing that the fight would have been much bigger had it taken place a number of years ago.
