March Madness 2021 live: A monster dunk from Drake and Leonard Hamilton’s ruptured Achilles

It has been 710 days since we’ve had an NCAA men’s tournament game, so let March Madness begin. The brackets might not be busted yet, but the games are here.

Thursday’s First Four has already seen Texas Southern defeat Mount St. Mary’s to advance to face No. 1 seed Michigan, but it’s still not too late to fill out a bracket in Tournament Challenge.

The highlight of Thursday’s games is the matchup of No. 11 seeds — UCLA vs. Michigan State. There are 13 combined national championships between those two programs.

Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton will not let a minor injury like a ruptured Achilles tendon keep him from the NCAA tournament.

This is somewhat reminiscent of former Georgia State coach Ron Hunter, who tore an Achilles celebrating his team’s berth in the 2015 NCAA tournament. Then, while getting hyped as his son hit a game-winning 3-pointer to upset No. 3 seed Baylor, he promptly fell off his stool.
