Conor McGregor offered a €50,000 (£53.38k) reward for information surrounding CCTV footage on the night his Dublin pub was attacked, before later deleting his social media post.

The Black Forge Inn, which McGregor bought for £2million in 2019, was targeted in January of this year when two petrol bombs were thrown at the building. No one was hurt and no damage was done.

The investigation by the Irish police is yet to determine who was behind the attack, so the UFC star took to Instagram to appeal for help. "Hey guys! I have a 50k reward cash in all 100 crisp untouched note," he wrote.

"Not a wrinkle on them. The no wrinkle green backs. I call them yum-yums. For whoever tells us who this little deli-chicken head is.

"The walk, run, and scrawny build all very distinctive. Nothing will be said, but done. Reach out to who can reach me. Look forward to doing business."

McGregor then deleted the post after roughly 30 minutes of it being live, with it racking up over 200,000 views in that time. Later providing an update, he wrote: "Wow that was quick. Thank you so much Good Samaritan."

It therefore seemed that someone had provided the information McGregor was looking for. He is regular visitor at the pub but wasn't present on the night of the attack.

A spokesperson for the Irish police said at the time: "Gardai are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage at a licenced premises on the Drimnagh Road, Crumlin last night, Wednesday 12th January 2022. No damage was done to the premises. Gardai are appealing for witnesses in relation to this incident is asked to contact Gardai."

A statement from Black Forge management read: "After hours last night it appears that criminals made an unprovoked effort to inflict damage to the Black Forge Inn.

"There was no damage done to any patrons, employees or the Forge and Mr. McGregor was not on the premises at the time of the incident. The gardai have opened an investigation into the event. We are open and busy as always."
