West Ham ask to be kept informed on Christian Eriksen’s status amid Inter issues

West Ham have asked to be kept informed of developments with Christian Eriksen, who is set to leave Inter Milan this month.

Eriksen has only been in Italy for a year having left Tottenham last January, though has struggled in Serie A.

Inter boss Antonio Conte is not a fan of using Eriksen in his preferred system with the Dane playing a total of 64 minutes in the last nine Serie A matches.

Plenty of clubs are interested in Eriksen, including West Ham and Wolves, but the man himself is hoping for a move to PSG and a return to the Premier League for the former Tottenham forward is not currently on the cards.

West Ham are also drawing up a shortlist of fall-back options if they fail with a renewed bid for Bournemouth’s Josh King.

The Hammers had a £13m offer for King turned down during the last transfer window and he remains their top target, with the player keen on the move.

But Bournemouth are determined not to let the 28-year-old leave on the cheap, despite him being out of contract at the end of the season.

And West Ham are drawing up contingency plans because they are determined not to overpay for a player available for free in a few months’ time.

One player on their list is former Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, who has just left Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng.

But the 35-year-old is also wanted by clubs in Italy and currently favours a return to his homeland.
