Most expensive Premier League season ticket for 2022/23 costs more than £2,000

The most expensive season ticket for the new 2022/23 Premier League season has been revealed and it's bad news if you're a match-going fan of Tottenham Hotspur.

A high-end seat at the swanky new 63,000 seater stadium will set supporters back more than £2k, though it is the same price as last season. Findings from Bloomberg indicate that on average it would cost a resident in the local borough of Haringey 90 per cent of their monthly salary to pay for the £2,025 season ticket.

Even Spurs' bottom-dollar season-pass of £807 is estimated at just less than a third of a local supporters’ monthly wage packet.

North London rivals Arsenal occupy second spot for the priciest high-end season ticket with a staggering cost of £1,839. However, the Gunners have finally bested Tottenham for the most expensive 'cheap' ticket.

Their £927 season pass has undergone a 14 per cent increase since this time last year – which doesn't include entry into Europa League fixtures.

Yet the report does state that discounts available for European games and other cup matches were responsible for the increase in season ticket prices.

At the other end of the spectrum, Premier League champions Manchester City have one of the lowest season ticket costs in the top flight – a 19-match pass at the Etihad will set supporters back just £350.

Only West Ham United have a cheaper rate than the Cityzens at £299 – by comparison, a new application for a season ticket at Rotherham United is £420.

Due to complications surrounding ownership, Chelsea are yet to announce their season ticket prices for the 2022/23 season.
