Manchester United are reportedly considering their options in the final few weeks of the transfer window in regards to Amad’s future at Old Trafford. United have enjoyed a successful summer transfer window so far with two marquee signings in the shape of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

The Red Devils were desperate to bring Sancho to the club last summer, but refused to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £108million valuation.

That dropped down significantly this summer though, with United eventually being able to agree a £73m fee.

The England international is expected to come straight into United’s starting line-up on the right wing.

And he will most likely be selected alongside Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford, with Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood providing strong back up options.

But Sancho’s arrival now raises question marks on the immediate future of Amad, who arrived at Old Trafford in January after a deal was agreed 12 months ago.

The move to sign Amad on transfer deadline day last year raised a few eyebrows due to the £37m price tag despite the teenager’s lack of game time at elite level.

United fans had to wait six months for Amad to arrive and he didn’t take long before making an impact in the youth side.

And he impressed in a handful of appearances in both the Europa League and Premier League towards the end of the campaign.

DON’T MISS

But Sancho’s arrival at United has now pushed Amad further down the pecking order at United.

Goal report that a number of clubs have already registered their interest in signing Amad on loan.

Facundo Pellistri is another young forward who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already confirmed will head out on loan for first-team experience this year.

And it is claimed that talks will be held in the near future on whether Amad will follow Pellistri in heading out on loan.

The report adds that Amad’s immediate future will depend on whether Marcus Rashford undergoes surgery on his troublesome shoulder injury.

Amad is currently at the Olympics with Ivory Coast, along with Eric Bailly and may not return in time for United’s Premier League opener against Leeds on August 14.

And Solskjaer confirmed this week that he plans to sit down with the 19-year-old once he returns to Carrington next month.

“We use every single player, we think about every single player’s – and the club’s – best pathway; what’s best for the season and best for the future,” Solskjaer said.

“Amad’s enjoying the Olympics. We’ll sit down towards the end of the window and see where we are.

“Of course, Marcus Rashford, what’s the injury status? We’ll make a decision on Amad when he comes back and sit down with him.”
