Liverpool will reportedly be looking to move on at least six first-team players in order to fund further deals. The Reds have so far only brought in French centre back Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in the current window.

The Merseyside club have a big squad of players, and sporting director Michael Edwards is working on trimming it before adding any further additions.

A £36million deal to bring French defender Konate to Anfield is so far the only piece of business that Liverpool have completed.

In terms of outgoings in the window so far, Liverpool have sold Harry Wilson to recently relegated Fulham for £12.6million and Taiwo Awoniyi to Union Berlin for £5.8 million.

And Goal reports that a further six players are up for sale as Liverpool wait for the right offers.

These players are Neco Williams, Nat Phillips, Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino, Loris Karius and Divock Origi.

JUST IN: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp seals new Trent Alexander-Arnold contract

Williams is valued at £7 million and acted as back up to Trent Alexander Arnold at right-back last season.

The Welshman made six appearances in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season.

Aged 20, Williams is a product of the Liverpool youth system but is unlikely to start ahead of Alexander Arnold next season.

Another defender the reds are interested in moving on is Nat Phillips who made 17 appearances in the Premier League last season.

DON’T MISS

Phillips was one of a number of centre backs who were forced to fill the void left by the injured Virgil Van Dijk for much of last season.

Elsewhere, Xherdan Shaqiri is available for sale having played as back up for much of his time at Anfield behind the Liverpool front three of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmini and Saido Mane.

Shaqiri arrived from Stoke in 2018 and is valued at £10.8million.

Like Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino has struggled to get any game time for the Reds ahead of the prolific front three.

He spent last season on loan at Southampton where he scored two goals in ten appearances for the Saints.

One player who Liverpool fans maybe pleased to see the back of is goalkeeper Lorius Karius.

The German who spent last season on loan at Union Berlin famously made a series of howlers in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The 28-year old could still provide backup for current number one Allison though.

Origi scored in the 2019 Champions League final for the Reds against Tottenham as well as in the historic semi-final win over Barcelona in the same campaign.

But the Belgian forward has never managed to establish a starting spot in Klopp’s first eleven.

A suitable offer will could reportedly persuade Liverpool to cash in on a player who may struggle to find any game time next season.

Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign away at newly promoted Norwich on August 14 as they look to build on lasts season’s third placed finish.
