Liverpool fans love Jose Enrique’s "ultimate s***housery" Raheem Sterling post

Liverpool fans were left in hysterics after former defender Jose Enrique poked fun at Man City winger Raheem Sterling on Instagram.

Sterling, who broke onto the scene at Liverpool in 2012 and made 95 appearances for the Reds, swapped Anfield for the Etihad in 2015, with the manner of his departure causing plenty of anger on Merseyside.

Enrique was still at Liverpool when Sterling made his exit up the M62, and the now-retired Spaniard clearly hasn't forgotten about his former team-mate.

In a post on Instagram, the 35-year-old put up two images side-by-side comparing Sterling and current Reds ace Sadio Mane.

The first – an image of Mane – showed the forward holding the Premier League Golden Boot with the caption, "Spotify."

The second – an image of Sterling – displayed the Man City forward with a Chukka boot and the heading, "Apple music."

Alongside the two pictures, Enrique wrote: "Sorry I couldn't no post this"

"And all my respects to sterling that he is a top player but this picture is really good"

"Sorry is no playing Liverpool this weekend so it is to much time to think about jokes."

Liverpool fans loved Enrique's sly dig at Sterling, with one supporter joking it was the "ultimate s***housery."

Another added "Jose firing shots", while a third chimed in with, "Jose's page is now just a football meme page."

A fourth urged Enrique to post more similar content, saying: "Jose continue we're enjoying the fun."

Other were less impressed, with one commenting: "Jose pal you're 35 posting Liverpool memes cmon man."

Sterling has gone from strength to strength since his move to City, scoring 113 goals and contributing 85 assists in 281 appearances.

He has also won two Premier League trophies, three League Cups and was named the 2019 Football Writers' Footballer of the Year.
