Leicester and Cardiff honour victims of helicopter crash before Premier League match
There were emotional scenes at Cardiff before Leicester City’s first match since the helicopter crash at the King Power Stadium which killed five people, including Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
Leicester fans were given Thai flags, T-shirts and scarves to pay tribute to Srivaddhanaprabha, while there was also a Thai flag with both club badges passed from the Ninian Stand to the away end before the game.
The Leicester players wore specially-made shirts to warm-up with a picture of Srivaddhanaprabha and the words: ‘The Boss’.
Cardiff owner Vincent Tan could not attend the game but his son U-Peng Tan laid a wreath pitchside, before Leicester’s entire playing and coaching staff joined Cardiff in the centre circle to observe a minute’s silence.
