Fulham fans channelled Wizard of Oz and joked there is ‘no place like home’ after relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
The Cottagers impressed under Slavisa Jokanovic last season as they won promotion through the play-offs but their return to the top flight has been nothing short of a disaster.
Despite spending £100million on new players in the summer – the most ever spent by a newly-promoted club – Fulham have just 17 points and have a goal difference of -46 after 33 games.

Rival fans soon jumped on their Fulham counterparts to rub in the relegation confirmation as memes and GIFs quickly went viral.
A scene in the Simpsons became popular with Homer Simpson, depicted in one image as Huddersfield, crying in the corner and he was swiftly joined by Grandpa Simpson, represented as Fulham.
Huddersfield’s relegation from the league was confirmed on Saturday evening after Jan Siewart’s side were beaten away to Crystal Palace.

One Fulham fan at least saw the funny side as he altered a t-shirt from last season’s success
Fulham fan Steven Rees was at least able to see the funny side on Tuesday evening, however.
He tweeted a photo of a t-shirt that he purchased after Fulham won the Championship play-off final – only he has doctored the shirt to fit news of a confirmed relegation.
With bits of pen and paper, the new version reads: ‘Fulham Championship play off contenders? Championship 2019/20.
‘We were Premier League.’
Scott Parker is Fulham’s third manager this season after dismissing both Jokanovic and Claudio Ranieri, in a season that fans will look to quickly forget.
Confirmation from the Sky Bet Championship account will have done little to ease the pain
Fulham struggled to do a lot right this season and one fan joked they ruined their own party
But to make matters worse following the Watford defeat, the official Sky Bet Championship Twitter account tweeted that Fulham will take their place in the second tier from next season – just in case anyone had missed the news.
One fan even wrote that Fulham, a side who has got lots wrong this season, even managed to ruin ‘their own relegation party’ having collapsed when it made 1-1.
Fulham will now look to restore some pride and try to ensure they do not finish the season at the foot of the table, currently holding a three-point advantage over Huddersfield.
