Tottenham might have to ramp up their efforts in the transfer window as Harry Kane angles for a move away. Manchester City are desperate to sign the striker this summer and the feeling is mutual.

There are four players who could replace Kane at Tottenham, no easy feat of course, but one Spurs might find themselves having to undertake.

It comes as City ramp up their efforts to sign the striker, who has failed to report for first-team training this summer.

With Kane seemingly ready to ditch his boyhood club, it leaves Tottenham scrambling for a potential replacement – but who could fill the boots of a man who has scored 157 times in five years?

Daniel Levy might insist the England captain is not for sale but with their relationship faltering, the Spurs chief might have to ramp up his efforts in the transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic

Tottenham have been interested in the Fiorentina striker for some time and the initial plan was that the Serbian would be brought in to partner Kane.

However, that plan looks set to change yet Vlahovic could still arrive and become the main man. The Athletic say he is ‘admired’ by Spurs.

It comes after a barnstorming campaign in Serie A where he scored 21 goals in the league at the age of 21, including a brace against Lazio.

Danny Ings

It looks likely that Ings will leave Southampton this summer after turning down a contract while the club do not want to lose the striker for nothing when his contract expires next season.

Several top sides are interested in the England international, including Manchester Untied and Chelsea, but Spurs could be his new home.

However, there appears to be some difference between both parties over wage demands but with Kane potentially out the door there are not many better finishers still in the Premier League so readily available.

Lautaro Martinez

Though Inter Milan are insisting they do not need to sell anymore players, they are ready to accept a bid for Martinez if it meets their valuation.

The Argentina international has been tipped to become the next Sergio Aguero and Barcelona and Arsenal are interested in the forward.

But if Spurs could muscle in on a deal, it would not only strip their north London rivals of a top striker, but could also give them the player they need.

Raul Jimenez

Jimenez has wasted no time scoring goals after recovering from a fractured skull and looks back to his best for Wolves during pre-season.

But with Nuno Espirito Santo now at Tottenham, there are a few players at the Molineux who could be forgiven for wanting to reunite with their old manager.

One of them could easily be Jimenez, who has enjoyed the best years of his career under the Portuguese boss while he would suit the No.9 style that Spurs play well with.
