Chelsea move on from Nathan Ake transfer after Frank Lampard concern
Chelsea are prepared to cut short their transfer pursuit over Nathan Ake after the latest scouting report on the defender.
The Blues are free to work in the January transfer market after a successful appeal saw their FIFA ban overturned.
It has seen a number of players linked with a Stamford Bridge switch as Frank Lampard eyes deals to improve his squad.
Reports have emerged that a left-back, a striker, a winger and a centre-back are high on the Englishman's wish list.
And former Chelsea star Ake was touted as one player to fill in at both defensive areas that the Blues want to strengthen.

The west London outfit have a £40m buyback clause on the Dutchman – who left the club for Bournemouth back in 2017.
That clause expires at the end of the month amid interest from Manchester City and Tottenham .
But Chelsea have since cooled their interest in Ake after their latest scouting report, says the Evening Standard.
They report that there are concerns that the 24-year-old will not be able to cope with Lampard's high defensive line.
Bournemouth have been on a stretch of miserable form after losing nine out of 11 matches – despite a win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Ake started six of those matches – including a 3-0 defeat to Watford at the Vitality Stadium which has plunged the Cherries into relegation troubles.

The fact that no negotiations are necessary and only personal terms would need to be agreed make it an attractive situation for Chelsea.
However, reports that the Blues are looking elsewhere shows evidence that they are not confident over Ake's abilities.
