The draw that means that at minimum, just two of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ will reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup – after Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all exited at the third round stage.

It also offers the opportunity for the likes of Newcastle, Leicester and Brighton to mount strong cup runs.

All three sides were handed favourable fourth round draws, with Newcastle given a home tie against Eddie Howe’s former side Bournemouth.
