Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has taken to social media to make his latest flamboyant fashion statement during the coronavirus pandemic.

The unexpected break in the season has allowed footballers to invest more time in extracurricular activities at home. Wolves’ Diogo Jota has been playing Football Manager while Chelsea’s Mason Mount has been working on his FIFA skills, but Bellerin’s tastes are a little more creative.

The 25-year-old has posted a picture of himself on Instagram showing off his new style, accompanied by the caption: ‘Quarantine garden fits.’

The Spaniard can be seen sporting a white vest with a tartan print overshirt, paired with mustard corduroy trousers.

The outfit is accessorised with black and white canvas trainers and keys hanging from his belt.

Bellerin has garnered a reputation as a maverick for his enigmatic fashion sense and his love of contemporary clothing, appearing as a guest at London Fashion Week shows.

The Spaniard wore a bespoke Arsenal shirt to raise awareness about climate change

In December, Bellerin wore a customised Arsenal shirt to raise awareness about climate change and animal welfare.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) logo was emblazoned on the front of the pink jersey, with Bellerin’s name and Gunners number printed on the back.

He said at the time: ‘I think as footballers we have a massive platform that we should be using way more than we actually are.’
