Arsenal fans in meltdown over ‘monster’ Thomas Partey as training clip emerges

Arsenal fans have been left in meltdown over “monster” Thomas Partey after a training clip of him emerged.

The midfielder arrived on transfer deadline day after his £45m release clause at Atletico Madrid was activated.

And the 27-year-old made his debut in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend, coming off the bench for seven minutes.

But footage has emerged which shows the Ghanian is getting comfortable with life in north London.

In the clip, the Gunners are running a mini game at London Colney as the players are separated into teams.

Calum Chambers plays a ball through the middle, with club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang running onto it.

The forward only has the goalkeeper in front of him – but does not spot Partey running close to his right shoulder.

And the midfielder simply pushes the Gabon international off the ball before turning and sending play back down the pitch.

All Aubameyang can do is smile to himself as the Ghanian sets David Luiz off into the opposition half.

This footage was shared on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel, where the Gunners faithful were blown away by Partey’s performance.

“Can’t believe how Partey tracked down Auba – he is a monster in midfield,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “This is what Thomas Partey is all about – see how clean that is? Precise violence”

While a third made a demand to Mikel Arteta for the Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna.

“We’re having a Partey – please start him,” they said.

And a fourth added: “Play Partey next game.”

A fifth said: “This video should be titled ‘Thomas Partey totally bosses Auba’.”

With a sixth commenting: “Cannot wait to watch Partey start against Leicester City.”

While a final supporter simply said: “Partey just disposed Auba.”

Partey could start in the Gunners’ Europa League clash tonight Arteta – and Daily Star Sport has taken a look at how the north London side could line up.
