Arsenal and Napoli are eyeing a move for Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin this summer, according to reports.

The winger has impressed in his first season in the Premier League and has been one of the standout players since football returned in June with one goal and three assists.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain have already been linked with a move for the 23-year-old but le10sport.com report that Arsenal and Napoli are also keen on the youngster.

They claim Saint-Maximin’s representatives are aware of the interest but neither club have made an official approach. 

Sportsmail revealed the winger wants improved terms on the six-year deal he signed last August after joining for £16million from Nice. 

A pay rise could depend on Newcastle’s proposed takeover which is still awaiting approval.

Napoli are edging towards a deal for Lille striker Victor Osimhen but are also keen on taking the Newcastle man to Serie A.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham have also shown an interest but both sides are set to be working with a reduced transfer budget. 

Magpies boss Steve Bruce claimed there was ‘no chance’ of the winger leaving St James’ at the end of this season and hailed him as the signing of the season.  

Saint-Maximin has four goals and seven assists in all competitions but his performances have gone up a level since the league restarted last month.

The winger grabbed three assists in his side’s 4-1 thrashing of Bournemouth and also got himself on the scoresheet in the 3-0 victory over Sheffield United.
