Indeed, Rudiger is said to be virtually certain in his own mind that he will leave in the coming weeks.

The player’s advisers will hold a final round of talks with all interested parties in the coming days before Rudiger decides which club to join on a lucrative free transfer.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Juventus are all in ongoing talks with the Germany star.

Sportsmail exclusively revealed in February that Rudiger was headed for the Blues exit door after turning down a new deal at Chelsea in the region of £200,000 per week.

The lines of communication between the club and the player have remained open.

Indeed, Rudiger’s team were in London this week, but with the club unable to sign players to contracts it now looks inevitable that Rudiger leaves.
