A-League magician Al Hassan Toure pulls filthy tricks on defenders

Adelaide United star Al Hassan Toure has been breaking ankles and putting defenders on rollerskates as he continues to unleash his wizardry in the A-League.

His latest effort to bamboozle helpless defenders is attracting interest from around the world after he sent three Macarthur FC defenders to the shadow realm in the Reds’ 3-1 win at Coopers Stadium on Wednesday night.

There was one moment in the game when Toure, 20, dribbled into a roadblock of two defenders and had a third chasing behind him in hot pursuit.

Seconds later he left all three of them crying for their mums after a filthy series of step-overs and side-steps that had all three clutching at thin air before he danced through them in the middle of the field.

Those players had families, Al Hassan.

The star prodigy, who was born in a Guinean refugee camp before moving to Australia when he was four-years-old, helped the Olyroos qualify for the Tokyo Olympics recently and appears a very real star of the future.

His incredible highlight was symbolic of Adelaide’s emphatic victory.

United were angry to head into half time with the scoreline at 1-1, having dominated the first half.

However, a penalty to Craig Goodwin and a late overturned goal to Ben Halloran gave Adelaide a 3-1 lead with 10 minutes to play.
