NASCAR at Talladega: Live race updates, results, highlights from Monday’s race

Let’s try this again.

Sunday’s race at Talladega, the fifth race of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, was postponed due to rain following the completion of the first stage, which William Byron won over Joey Logano. The race was scheduled to resume Monday at 2 p.m ET.

There were 15 lead changes and 12 leaders through the first 55 laps Sunday. Chase Elliott started on the pole but was quickly shuffled back; he finished the first stage in 18th. Ryan Blaney led more laps (15) in Stage 1 than anybody, but he spun on pit road entry during a green-flag stop before finishing the stage in 10th.

Sporting News is tracking live race updates and highlights from the 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Monday. Follow along below.
