A fan hit David Pastrnak’s car in Boston — and he managed to get a picture out of it

Encountering a professional athlete on the street can be exciting for many fans — but it’s another thing entirely to have to step out of the car and exchange driver’s licenses and proofs of insurance with one.

A hockey fan in Boston earned quite the photo opportunity on Saturday when he apparently crashed into Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak’s car.

Bruins fan Mark Sousa posted of himself and Pastrnak, along with a a screenshot of a conversation with his dad about the accident, on Twitter. Sousa claims to have hit Pastrnak’s Porsche while driving through the city.

“Sorry about the damage @pastrnak96 insurance check is in the mail,” the post read.

No further details about the crash are available at this time. Based on the photo, though, neither party was injured and it’s unclear how serious damage to either vehicle was. The 23-year-old Czech apparently wasn’t above posing for a photo with a fan in the middle of all the commotion.

Pastrnak leads the Bruins in scoring and ranks second among all NHL skaters in points (24) and goals (12) through Nov. 2. His Bruins host the Ottawa Senators in an Atlantic Division matchup at TD Garden on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
