Seahawks schedule 2021: Dates & times for all 17 games, strength of schedule, final record prediction

Since Russell Wilson became their starting quarterback in 2012, the Seahawks have yet to have a losing season. They hope to continue that when they play through their 2021 NFL schedule.

Seattle won its first NFC West title in four seasons with a 12-4 record with Wilson, still under Pete Carroll in 2020. It held off Los Angeles and Arizona in a tough battle for first place.

With the 49ers set for a rebound in the division, the Seahawks are facing stacked odds to repeat. Will they at least make it 10 playoff trips in 11 seasons in the Wilson Era? Here is a complete breakdown of the Seahawks’ 2021 schedule, including dates, start times and analysis for all 17 games.

Seattle Seahawks schedule 2021

The Seahawks’ schedule will be released as part of the NFL’s schedule release on Wednesday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET. These are the teams that they are currently scheduled to play during the 2021 NFL season.

Here is the Seattle Seahawks’ complete schedule for 2021.

Home: Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, Bears, Lions, Jaguars, Titans, Saints
Away: Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, Packers, Vikings, Texans, Colts, Washington, Steelers

The Seahawks will once again need to survive the stronger Rams, 49ers and Cardinals inside the division. The other divisions they will play in full are the NFC North and AFC South.

With their first-place finish, the Seahawks need to face some extra pop beyond the Packers and Titans. That would be the Saints and Washington from the NFC and the AFC North-winning Steelers, who make up the 17th game opponent.

Seahawks strength of schedule

The Seahawks are tied with the Chiefs with the 11th-toughest schedule in the NFL. Seattle’s 2021 opponents went a combined 139-133 last season, for a healthy winning percentage of .511. Only the Rams have it more difficult from the division.

Beyond the Rams twice, the Seahawks face seven more returning playoff teams from 2020, making it nine total in 17 games.

Toughest tests: The Seahawks aren’t the same team on the road, and after the division games, trips to Green Bay, Indianapolis, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Washington are the hardest. At home, Seattle will be most challenged by New Orleans and Tennessee outside of the NFC West.

Biggest breaks: Getting the Jaguars and Lions at home are two welcome free spaces for the Seahawks’ victory column. There’s not much easy on the road, so they will enjoy getting the Texans, who might end up being the worst team in the league.

Bottom line: The Seahawks will keep up their winning ways with Wilson, but they figure to slip a little with the 49ers relevant again and the Rams more daunting. The first-place schedule is nasty, but the few easy wins make sure Seattle stays in wild-card contention.

Record prediction: 10-7
