Rob Gronkowski leaves New England Patriots fans fuming in Instagram announcement
Rob Gronkowski “lost some fans” on Instagram as the New England Patriots hero made an announcement on Instagram.
The former NFL tight end bored 91 touchdowns over nine seasons for the Super Bowl champions.
But the 29-year-old shocked fans by announcing his retirement on Instagram in March this year, putting it down to mental health issues.
Gronkowski has kept busy away from the pitch, though, joining James Corden and Venus Williams for a dance with the LA Lakers cheerleaders last night.
The former NFL star, though, made an announcement suggesting he would be staying away a long time.

In a clip, the 29-year-old battles two inner thoughts – one for partying and one for playing American football.
The sportsman says: “We need you back on the field.”
While the party personality convinces him to set up the party Gronkowski is announcing.
“Introducing Gronk Beach,” the accompanying post says.

“I am going for the championship of partying in Miami with my very own music festival during Big Game Weekend.”
The post has been seen nearly two million since it was published yesterday.
But Patriots fans were left furious at the announcement.
“I thought you were going to say you’re coming back,” one said.
Another commented: “Well I watched that hype for nothing.”

While a third decided to take action.
“Time to unfollow,” they said.
And a fourth added: “Gronk’s done.
“He doesn’t have the balls to get hit anymore.”

A fifth said: “Damn, I thought he was coming out of retirement.”
With a sixth simply adding: “Booo.”
But the 29-year-old has refused to rule out a return to the NFL.
Gronkowski won three Super Bowls with the Patriots, his latest coming last year.
