Panic time? Oklahoma City Thunder remain winless after collapse vs. Boston Celtics
It's still just over a week into the season, but the Oklahoma City Thunder might already be approaching panic time.
The Thunder coughed up a 16-point halftime lead Thursday night and lost 101-95 to the Boston Celtics, falling to 0-4 for the worst start since the franchise moved to Oklahoma City in 2008. The Celtics shook off a horrid shooting start and closed the game on a 16-1 run.
Paul George hit a pair of free throws to put the Thunder ahead 94-85 with 4:22 left. Oklahoma City then missed its final 10 shots from the field, limited to a single free throw the rest of the way.
"We'll be alright, it's early," said Russell Westbrook. "There's no need to panic. Obviously we're not starting the way we wanted to, but we'll be OK. I will make sure of that."
