There wasn't much by the way of 'Thanksgiving' at the Dallas Cowboys NFL game last Thursday, with two female fans involved in a violent exchange with a concession stand employee.

After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs last week, the Cowboys endured more frustration in their latest NFC East match with the Las Vegas Raiders – losing in overtime to a last-gasp field goal.

And some fans seemed to take the outcome very badly, with footage soon emerging of a supporter brawling with the employee on the concourse of the AT&T Stadium.

The worker didn't hold back herself, jumping over the counter as the two went toe-to-toe, with nachos flying everywhere before another female fan seemingly jumped in to help her friend.

The melee continued as several other stadium-goers then get involved, most with the aim of breaking things up, while another employee leapt over the counter to offer his twopence.

It isn't clear what started the fracas, but according to TMZ, Dallas police made a number arrests at the game although it's not yet confirmed if those flaying nachos were detained.

The video was posted on Twitter by @OldRowSports along with the line "Cowboys fans not taking the defeat well" – and followers saw the funny side – with @ipaintfish_com joking "this type of behaviour is clearly allowed and accepted in our society today; YES, of course, I'm referring to THE WASTING OF NACHOS!!!"

@MeanderinMarley added "They're really serious about the exact change policy," while @ToofToney quipped "Vendor: You really think EXTRA CHEESE sauce a good idea."

@wearepuppets87 meanwhile, echoed the sentiments of many disgruntled Cowboys fans, arguing "More fight than the Dallas Cowboys have. Team is embarrassing and the heartbreak is real. Over 20 years of pure let down."

The incident comes comes a month after another show of fan thuggery at a game between the LA Rams and the Tennessee Titans, where one fan was left knocked unconscious.

Ironically, Thursday's ugly off-field scenes overshadowed a big brawl on it, which was ignited when tempers flared between Cowboys' rookie defender Kelvin Joseph and the Raiders' Roderic Teamer during the game.

That soon escalated into a brawl involving both sets of players, and after match official Tom Hill was left bleeding after being struck – both Joseph and Teamer were ejected from the game.

The game was the most watched in NFL history.
